GP SealMax

GENERAL PURPOSE ACETIC SILICONE

GP SealMax is a one component acetic silicone sealant, of acetic reticulation which cures in contact with air moisture at room temperature. This process, allows it to form an elastic rubber resistant to ultraviolet rays and to weathering. It has an outstanding adhesion on many substrates and a high adaptation to movement. Easy to extrude. No paintable.

GP SealMax is a sealant suitable for glazing, plumbing and DIY. It has a good adhesion on non- porous materials such as glass, aluminium and vitrified elements.

It contains fungicide which avoids blackness of the joint.

Do not apply on concrete, stone, marble, granite, ferrous materials, copper, brass or rubbers. We have in our range of products sealants more convenient for those applications. Please test adhesion on unkown materials.

To obtain a perfect adhesion of the substrates, surfaces must be clean and free of dust, grease, oils, water, pollution, rust and so on. At certain times, in addition to a mechanical treatment is also recommended a cleaning process with organic solvents (alcohol or MEK) until all the polluting agents have been completely eliminated. In some cases and with some materials a priming process is also required. Do not use soaps, detergents or water.

Place the nozzle on the cartridge and cut it according to the wished width joint. Press the sealant with the application gun to cover perfectly well all the joint and try to fill all the gaps in. Spread with a round spatula. Deep joints have to be filled with filling material to avoid the sealant to adhere to the bottom. Any change must be carried out before the end of the skin formation time.
